It was decorated with handmade ornaments, icicles and a star. The cabin was lit by oil lamps and a docent shared life of yesteryear. Under the stars in the gazebo, Allen Town Elementary School choir provided entertainment for all. The Camellia maids were introduced. Story time took place in the chapel and at the end of the story each child was given a penny to spend in the country store. In exchange for the penny each child was given an orange and a candy cane. In the schoolhouse lit by oil lamps were delicious homemade cookies and apple cider simmering on the school wood burning stove to be enjoyed by all.
